Here it is as promised the Pyaar Impossible Review
WARNING: Spoilers ahead!!! Dont Read if you want to leave the story a complete mystery!!!
Rom-Com's are those kind of movies which will always be judged negatively its because to fit in to the very genre into which they are classified they have to be slightly light handed with the amount of drama they infuse into a story to still keep it frothy and comedic enough if that is even a word...
that is exactly what one gets with Pyaar Impossible... while no one can deny that there have been many movies both from Hollywood and Bollywood with better stories and just that extra dose of drama which melds into the story like sugar into curd but sadly that is one of the places where uday chopra's clear lack of experience in writing and screenplay composition come through in leaps and bounds.... at the very basic level the story of a geek falling in love with a gorgeous gal is one done to death a billion times over but one must remember that its only because cliches work that they exist in the first place at all...so one must give points to him for keeping the base story similar to the mould yet different enough to not make it a completely tiresome experience... the dialogues and editing though could certainly have been much spiffier and done great service to the film... on the performance front the performances by both the leading ladies in the film priyanka chopra and the precocious yet naughty daughter of hers pull of great performances with the meagre fodder of dialogues given to them... uday chopra shows flashes of promise one scene in particular being the thai tradition scene.... dont worry if you dont get it when you watch the movie you will certainly understand... the visuals in the movie both human and other wise look amazing which as a young hot blooded male are important enough and i am sure the girls get enough eye candy with Dino Morea looking extremely dapper as the villain all through out....
so in conclusion i give this film 2.5 out of 5 and a timepass watch rating...
